Laboratories, we are unequivocal about the
continuity of excellent research by a pool of
talented investigators. We acknowledge the
responsibility of raising researchers for
discovery and innovation.
The D.Phil. programme accepts students to
advance investigation at our facilities along
our mission. The successful student has a
hypothesis that would probably not be accepted
elsewhere, or that would not be facilitated at
other research institutes (may be, due to the
inexperience of the researcher or the novelty
of the hypothesis), but that evoke great
creativity, require innovative tools and
processes, and that would target Africa's
socio-economic and cultural setting. (The
programme is, however, not limited to Africa,
African students or African researchers). We
shall host teams of post-docs and fellows who
will be excited to support you with your
desertation.
